Special Notice Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Procurement

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Network Contracting Office 17 (NCO-17), intends to conduct a sole source award action with Boston Scientific Corporation for the following items:

NCO-17 intends to modify Purchase Order 36C25722P0417 to extend the terms of the contract for an additional two (2) years Option Year 3 delivery dates is 04/23/2025 - 04/22/2026. Option Year 4 delivery dates 04/23/2025 04/22/2027. The following items are to be provided in accordance with the order s Statement of Work:

TheraSphere- 3 GBq, 5 GBq, 7 GBq, 10 GBq, 15 GBq, and 20 GBq at calibration date and time also available by special order in half or full GBq dose sizes within the 3 GBq-20 GBq range

Doses are requested as needed throughout the order.

The proposed actions are needed due to an unsuccessful solicitation posting/synopsis of proposed contract action.

This contract action is for items for which the Government intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.5. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability in response to this notice. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 325412 with a small business size standard of 1,300 employees.
THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS. Responsible sources may identify their interest by submitting capability information by 8:00 A.M., CST, on Friday, February 28, 2025, to establish the ability of the source to meet this requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government will not be responsible for any costs associated with the preparation of responses to this notification. If no affirmative written response is received within 5 business days from the publication of this notice, the proposed modification request will be forwarded to Boston Scientific Corporation without any further notice.
