CONSTRUCTION SERVICES FOR THE
GREATER GLORIETA MDWCA SEWER SYSTEM UPGRADES
ADDENDUM NO. 6
Dear Proponents,
This addendum is issued to reflect the following immediately. It shall be the responsibility of
interested Offerors to adhere to any changes or revisions to the IFB as identified in this Addendum
No. 6. This documentation shall become permanent and made part of the departmental files.
The deadline for submitting questions regarding this solicitation has passed.
The County will not accept or respond to any additional questions.
Question No. 1:

Are Service Lateral Seals required for this project?
Service Lateral Seals will be required for pipes rehabilitated using CIPP and
shall meet the requirements identified in Spec Section 33 01 31 Item 2.5.
Question No. 2:

If they are, we need to know the length into the lateral – typical is less than 12”,
they are called “LMK Stubbys”.
Service Lateral Seals shall extend into lateral a minimum of 6” and up to 12”.

Would you consider a separate bid item on the bid form for Service Lateral Seals
which is typical when they are required?
Payment for restoring service laterals is included as part of Bid Item 5. See Spec
Section 01 22 00 Measurement and Payment, Section 1.5E, Bid Item 5 –
Reinstate Sewer Laterals.
Bid Item 5 shall be used to pay for restoring service laterals from the interior of
the pipe when rehabilitated using CIPP as well as restoration of laterals from the
exterior of the pipe when using Pipe Bursting.

The cost for providing Service Lateral Seals shall be considered incidental to this
bid item.
Please add this Addendum No. 6 to the original proposal documents and refer to proposal documents,
hereto as such. This and all subsequent addenda will become part of any resulting contract documents
and have effects as if original issued. All other unaffected sections will have their original
interpretation and remain in full force and effect. Responders are reminded that any questions or need
for clarification must be addressed to Tammy Jim, Procurement Specialist Senior at
