ADDENDUM NO. 2
Dear Bidders,

Question No. 1:
Answer No. 1:
Question No. 2:
Are there existing gate valves to isolate existing 16” DI waterline at
new PRV location? If so, can valves remain closed and does system
loop around?
There are no valves available to isolate the existing 16” DI
waterline. Contractor shall install two (2) 16-inch Inserta-Valves
to isolate the existing 16-inch pipe when making the connections.
Contractor shall minimize the duration of the shutdown required
to make the connection to the existing 16” DI waterline. All
shutdowns of the existing water system shall be coordinated with
Santa Fe County Utilities. Location of valves will be determined
in the first construction meeting.
Are there exiting curb stop for all existing water service lines to isolate
water service lines?

Answer No. 2:
It is not known if all water services have curb stops. This shall be
confirmed by the Contractor in the field. For water services that
are comprised of copper, it will be acceptable for the Contractor to
pinch off or freeze the water service piping so it’s not necessary to
dig up the road to get to the curb stop for isolating the service.
Contractor shall utilize equipment and tools that are intended for
the purpose. Contractor shall provide a submittal detailing the
proposed tools and equipment to be used in completing this work
for review and approval.
Please be advise deadlines for questions has passed. No more questions will be answered at this
time.
Please add this Addendum No. 2 to the original proposal documents and refer to proposal documents,
hereto as such. This and all subsequent addenda will become part of any resulting contract documents
and have effects as if original issued. All other unaffected sections will have their original
interpretation and remain in full force and effect. Responders are reminded that any questions or need
for clarification must be addressed to Amanda Patterson-Sanchez, Procurement Specialist Senior at
apatterson-sanchez@santafecountynm.gov.
