REQUEST FOR SEALED BIDS

SURPLUS SCHOOL DISTRICT PROPERTY

Notice is hereby given that the George County School District Board of Education will

receive sealed bids for the purchase of district-owned real property located at:

1170 Pleasant Hill Church Road, George County, Mississippi

Minimum Bid: $125,000

NOTICE OF EXCEPTIONS

The scope of work does not include playground equipment, original school bell or original

school signage These items are expressly excluded from this project and shall not be

considered part of the bid or contract scope.

The property has been declared surplus and no longer needed for school purposes.

Sealed bids will be received until March 2, 2026 at 10:00 a.m.

On March 3, all bids will be publicly opened at the George County School District Board

Room, 330 Church Street, Lucedale MS 39452

Each bid must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked:

“SEALED BID – 1170 Pleasant Hill Church Road.”

Bidders may obtain additional information or arrange to inspect the property by contacting

The George County School District Board of Education reserves the right to reject any and

all bids, to waive informalities, and to accept the bid deemed to be in the best interest of the

District, in accordance with Mississippi law.

This notice will be published once a week for three (3) consecutive weeks in a newspaper of

general circulation in George County, Mississippi.
