PURCHASE AND DELIVERY OF WATERCAFT (RFI)

Introduction:

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) is soliciting vendors for information on the purchase and delivery of 7 new watercraft for our Division of Forest Protection (DFP). DFP will utilize these watercrafts for patrol, law enforcement, and emergency response throughout New York State. Areas of operation will include inland lakes, rivers, inter coastal, and light coastal regions. Currently, many vessels in DFP’s fleet have surpassed their serviceable life and can no longer be safely repaired. Therefore, these new vessels are necessary for DFP to effectively continue its mission on the water.

Objective:

The goal of this RFI is to seek information from potential vendors as to their capabilities to produce the required vessels to the specifications provided and to work within New York State contract guidelines. In the event further elaboration on answers is needed, vendors may utilize additional pages or attachments to be included to the RFI as needed. Vendors should be as specific as possible and include potential workarounds or changes that can be discussed or negotiated in the development of the contract that goes out for bidding.
