Purchase and Delivery of Class B Vessels with Trailers

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) is soliciting bids for the purchase and delivery three (3) vessels with three associated trailers for their transportation. DLE classifies powered vessels shorter than 25 feet in length as Class B vessels for our internal procedures. Class B vessels are utilized by NYS DEC Law Enforcement for varied response and patrol missions. These vessels can be operated by a single officer and can carry five or more people. These watercraft are capable of operating on a wide range of waterbodies, and in moderately adverse conditions. The versatility of these craft makes them capable of filling numerous operational roles from patrol to search and rescue. DLE will be purchasing units with built in down-scanning sonar, which will assist in equipment and victim searches on the bottoms of waterbodies. DLE intends to replace three (3) vessels that are beyond the end of their service life and have become too expensive to maintain.
