Pumping Station Road Culvert Replacement and Stream Channel Reconstruction

Project Description: Notice is hereby given that the Elizabeth Township Board of Supervisors, Lancaster County, 423 South View Drive, Lititz, PA 17543, will accept bids for the following contract until 12:00 p.m., March 20, 2025, and will be opened on PennBid (pennbid.bonfirehub.com). Hand-delivered, mailed, and faxed bids will not be accepted. All bids are to be submitted online through the PennBid website (pennbid.bonfirehub.com):
The Project includes Culvert Replacement and Stream Channel Reconstruction along Pumping Station Road. The project consists of the replacement of an existing 6’ round diameter culvert, with a 29’ wide structural plate arch, the replacement structure is bottomless and rests upon Contech express footers. The project also includes approximately 300 linear feet of stream restoration. Restoration work includes the installation of 3 rock riffles (detail drawing provided) each approximately 42ft in length. Additional restoration work includes the installation of R7 bank margins, and placement of specified streambed material, and the installation of a mudsill bank armoring.
Bid bond or certified check for 10% of the total base bid payable to "Elizabeth Township" shall accompany each bid; to be forfeited as liquidated damages should the bidder default in execution of the contract within 10 days after notice of award of same. The non-collusion affidavit must be executed and submitted with the bid. A performance bond in the amount of 100% of the contract price will be required. The project cost is greater than $25,000 and shall be bid utilizing PA Prevailing Wage Rates. A completed Public Works Employment Verification Form shall be submitted with the bid package. The Township reserves the right to waive irregularities in or reject any and all bids.
A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on March 6, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Elizabeth Township Office, 423 South View Drive, Lititz, PA 17543, followed by a site visit. All bidders shall provide references for completed Stream Channel Reconstruction projects.
