Pump Station Modernization
ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed Bids for the construction of the Pump Station Modernization will be received by the City of Collegedale at Collegedale City Hall, 4910 Swinyar Drive, PO Box 1880, Collegedale, TN 37315 until 2:00 PM local time on May 8, 2025, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read.
The project involves the complete rehabilitation and modernization of the existing pump station located at 5151 Ooltewah Ringgold Road, Collegedale, TN 37363. The scope includes the demolition of the existing above-ground station, construction of a new above-grade structure, rehabilitation of the existing below-grade dry and wet wells, installation of new pumps, suction and discharge piping, instrumentation and controls, new electrical gear, and all associated electrical and mechanical systems.
Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis, with owner select additive alternate bid items as indicated in the Bid Form.

Printed copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office, during the hours indicated above, upon payment of a non-refundable deposit of $150.00 for each set. Upon request and receipt of the document deposit indicated above, the Issuing Office will transmit the Bidding Documents via delivery service. Standard shipping is two-day delivery. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder’s date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.
A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at 2:00 PM local time on April 22, 2025 at Collegedale City Hall, 4910 Swinyar Drive, Collegedale, TN 37315. Following the pre-bid conference a site visit to the pump station will occur.
Bid security shall be furnished in the amount of five percent of the total bid amount in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond and Payment Bond each in the amount of 100 percent of the Base Bid + Owner Select Additive Alternate.

Pump Station Modernization
The bidder awarded the contract shall complete this project to Substantial Completion within 360 calendar days. Final Completion shall be within 390 calendar days. Liquidated damages will be assessed at $1000.00 per calendar day
This project is supported by the American Rescue Plan Act grant funding, and is subject to specific federal restrictions, requirements, and deadlines.
The Award will be made to the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder.
The OWNER reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities or technicalities therein.
