Summary

Project Description:

This Project will remove and replace existing mechanical, electrical, and structural features at Pump Station (PS) 35. The Work will require bypassing of wastewater flow throughout construction. General items of work include, but are not limited to:

  1. Establishment of temporary sewer bypass.
  2. Installation of approximately 800 linear feet of cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) liner into an 8-inch-diameter cast iron sewer force main.
  3. Installation of new maintenance hole and connection to King County 42-inch-diameter existing sewer line; abandon existing connection.
  4. Replacement of existing electrical service cabinet, conduit, and conductors.
  5. Demolition of existing site features, structural elements, electrical elements, mechanical equipment and removal of lead-containing coatings.
  6. Installation of new structural elements including a new roof slab, interior partition wall, hatches, beams, gratings, and guardrails.
  7. Installation of new electrical service and power equipment, including variable frequency drive (VFD) motor starters and on-site generator.
  8. Installation of new mechanical equipment, including pumps, valves, process piping, HVAC (i.e. ventilation), and odor control.
  9. Installation of new instrumentation including a wastewater flow meter.
  10. Restoration of existing landscaping and site features.
  11. Post-construction testing and commissioning.

Engineer's Estimate: $2,993,000 (not including sales tax)
