Public Safety Portable / Mobile Radio Project

This is an Invitation for Bid to supply the Glynn County Board of Commissioners with Portable and Mobile Radios and accessories as detailed in this IFB.

The Glynn County Board of Commissioners was awarded a Byrne Discretionary Community Project Grant, Award # 15PBJA-24-GG-00324-BRND to replace obsolete portable and mobile radios used by local first responders. Glynn County first responders are responsible for the public safety of over 85,000 residents living within the barrier island communities of Sea Island, St. Simons Island, Little St. Simons Island, and Jekyll Island, and unincorporated areas of the County. Just over 16,000 of the 85,000 residents live within the jurisdiction of the City of Brunswick. The first responder agencies within Glynn County and City of Brunswick include Glynn County Police, Glynn County Sheriff's Office, GB911, City of Brunswick Police Department, Glynn County Emergency Management Agency (EMA), and Jekyll Fire Department. These agencies protect the life and property of the citizens and visitors of Glynn County by enhancing law enforcement and emergency management services.
