RE: ADDENDUM #1, RFP NO. 20260229, PUBLIC SAFETY FUEL SITE RENOVATION
PROPOSAL DUE DATE: 3:00 p.m. (EST), FEBRUARY 26, 2026
Firms are hereby notified that this addendum shall be made a part of the above-named proposal and contract
documents. The following are issued to revise/clarify the proposal and contract documents, and these items shall
have the same force and effect as the original proposal and contract documents. Proposals to be submitted on the
above-specified date at Purchasing shall conform to the revisions and clarifications as listed herein.
ITEM #1 REVISION
The two (2) existing above-ground storage fuel tanks that are being replaced is a 5,200-gallon diesel tank and a
500-gallon unleaded tank.
ITEM #2 QUESTIONS/ANSWERS
Q1: How many dispensers / fueling points for each tank?
A1: We want two (2) dispensers or double handled per pump.
Q2: Do you need high flow for the diesel dispensers? 22gpm or 50gpm?
A2: We want 22gpm flow.
Q3: Any tractors or trucks with saddle tanks which would require satellite dispenser.
A3: There are not any tractors or trucks with saddle tanks.
Q4: Hose length?
A4: We want the hose length to be at least 25 feet.
Q5: High hose hangers or reels?
A5: Yes
Q6: Canopy? If yes, size?
A6: There will be no canopy.
Q7: For the above ground piping would Charlotte County want all stainless-steel pipe or black iron pipe with paint?
A7: Black iron pipe with paint
Q8: ATG connected to fuel Management?
A8: Not necessary
Q9: Ladder or stairs with catwalks on the tanks?
A9: Yes
Q10: Painted steel, galvanized, or aluminum?
A10: Galvanized
Q11: Full length cat walks? If not how long?
A11: Full Length
Q12: Both tank cat walks connected or independent?
A12: Independent
Q13: Would you want the dispenser to be Super stainless steel or powder coated?
A13: Powder coated
Q14: Remote fill, would you want that to be stainless steel?
A14: Yes, stainless steel
Q15: Would you like one (1) concrete slab to fit both tanks or two (2) separate concrete slabs for the tanks?
A15: If possible but maybe dictated by the placement to accommodate the site location.
Q16: Is the tank build wanting to be all above ground pipe or would you want a transition sump and underground
pipe?
A16: All above ground
Q17: I understand we are to remove and reuse fuel management system, but would you be in need of a tank gauge
system like Omntec. If you have an Omntec existing, you will only need to change out the probes and a few sensors
to be added such as interstitial sensors and sump sensors if wanted.
A17: The system will need a Omntec monitoring with all necessary probes.
Q18: Are the 3000- and 500-gallon tanks existing ul 142 or 2085?
A18: The existing tanks are 5,200-gallon and 500-gallon as stated above in the revision. These tanks are double-
walled fire-resistant concrete tanks.
Q19: What are the required bollard specifications?
A19: We are requiring 6” galvanized pipe bollards (7’ overall length).
ITEM #3 ADDITION
The existing 5,200-gallon diesel storage tank also runs the generator for the Fire/EMS Maintenance Building so
when installing the new diesel storage tank, provisions can be made to tie in existing genset for the Maintenance
Building or recommendation for auxiliary supply diesel fuel tank for generator.
This addendum is binding and is to be considered as if contained within the original proposal documents of RFP
No. 20260229. Firms are required to acknowledge receipt of this addendum on their proposal forms.
