Description: This IFB is seeking a vendor (CONTRACTOR) to provide a public performance license that authorizes DOCCS correctional facilities to show motion pictures to the incarcerated population. Without this contract, DOCCS will be in violation of the Federal Copyright Laws. Since showing movies in an institutional setting has been defined as a public performance, DOCCS would be liable for substantial fines if it does not secure the license. Product is defined as a license provided to a facility/facilities for group non-theatrical public performance showings of entertainment content from various Producers. This IFB will result in a 5-year contract to provide the Public Performance License.
