NOTICE TO BIDDERS

BAYONNE SCHOOL DISTRICT

BAYONNE, NEW JERSEY

Sealed proposals will be received by the Bayonne School District Board of Education on

January 17, 2023 at 11:00 AM at the Bayonne School District Board Offices, 669 Avenue A,

Bayonne, NJ 07002 for the following Contract:

Roof Replacement at Bayonne High School

Bidding Documents may be examined at the office of DMR Architects, 777 Terrace Ave., 6th Floor,

Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey 07604, during business hours. A copy thereof must be procured

on/after December 11, 2023 at the Architect's office for the purpose of bidding. A non-refundable

payment in cash or check to the order of said Architect in the sum of $75.00 is required. Additional

bidding sets can be purchased for the sum of $75.00.

A non-mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held at the High School site, 669 Avenue A, Bayonne,

NJ 07002 on Tuesday December 19, 2023 at 11:00AM. Meet at the Auditorium entrance – door

#5.

The bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cash, or bid bond in an amount not less than

ten percent (10%) of the bid, but not to exceed $20,000.00. If the Contract is awarded to the

Bidder, he will within two (2) weeks thereafter execute such Contract and furnish satisfactory

Performance Bond. Upon failure to do so, he shall forfeit the deposit as liquidated damages and

the acceptance of the bid will be contingent upon the fulfillment of this requirement by the Bidder.

No interest shall be allowed upon any such certified check or cash.

The successful Bidder shall be required to comply with the provisions of the New Jersey Prevailing

Wage Act, Chapter 150 of the Laws of 1963, effective January 1, 1964, and with the

requirements of P.L. 1975.C.17 (N.J.A.C. 17:27), Affirmative Action Program.

All bids shall be stated in words and figures on bid forms provided. Bidding shall be in conformance

with the applicable requirements of N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-1, et seq. which pertain to the Public-School

Contracts Law.

Bayonne School District Board of Education reserves the right to reject any and all bids or

proposals to waive any minor irregularities in any bid proposal if it is considered in the best

interest of the Board to do so. No bid shall be deemed accepted or a Contract awarded until

public adoption of the resolution to that effect by the Bayonne School District Board of

Education.
