1.0 GENERAL INFORMATION
1.1 PURPOSE OF REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP)
The South Dakota Department of Health (DOH) is seeking a data modernization lead to support the departments data initiatives and activities while
working closely to build and enhance DOH’s information technology strategic plan, infrastructure, and assets.
The individual contracted will work to support interoperable solutions for systems, linkage of department-wide data, and from community partners – all
while supporting a robust and healthy data governance. More details on the work activities and desired qualifications can be found in the Scope of
Work.
1.2 ISSUING OFFICE AND RFP REFERENCE NUMBER
The South Dakota Department of Health is the issuing office for this document and all subsequent addenda relating to it, on behalf of the State of South
Dakota, Department of Health. The reference number for the transaction is RFP #24-0901001-016. This number must be referred to on all proposals,
correspondence, and documentation relating to the RFP.
1.3 LETTER OF INTENT
All interested offerors must submit a Letter of Intent to respond to this RFP no later than February 15th, 2024 by 4pm CT.
The Letter of Intent may be submitted to Kevin Dewald via email at kevin.dewald@state.sd.us. Please place the following in the subject line of your
email: “Letter of Intent for RFP 24-0901001-016”.

1.5 SUBMITTING YOUR PROPOSAL
All proposals must be completed and received by the South Dakota Department of Health by March 5th, 2024 by 4pm CT.
Proposals received after the deadline will be late and ineligible for consideration.
