25-049 Public Defender Services

Competitive sealed proposals will be received by the City of Albany, Procurement Division, 222 Pine Avenue, Suite 260, Albany, GA 31701 until March 6,2025, at 5:00 p.m. from qualified legal professionals or firms to provide Public Defender services for the City of Albany¿s Municipal Court. The selected Public Defender will be responsible for representing indigent defendants in various court proceedings, as outlined in this solicitation. The Public Defender¿s role is integral in ensuring fair legal representation for defendants who cannot afford private counsel. This initiative aims to promote equity and justice within the community. The City Ordinance Sec. 22-32, which governs the public defender, is contained herein.
