PROVISION OF DETENTION ALTERNATIVES INITIATIVE INNOVATION APPROPRIATIONS (JDAI) COMMUNITY-BASED DIVERSION PROGRAM

It is the intention of these specifications to provide to prospective proposers the requirements for the Community-Based Diversion Program in accordance with th e New Jersey Youth Justice Commission (YJC) JDAI Juvenile Detention Alternatives Initiative Innovation Appropriations as required by the Middlesex County Department of Community Services, Office of Human Services.

Middlesex County is seeking to enhance its systems of support for diverting youth away from the formal juvenile justice system by making available a Community-Based Diversion Program available in eleven (11) towns . Referrals to the program must be made by Law Enforcement in the listed towns, Carteret, Edison, North Brunswick, East Brunswick, Per th Amboy, New Brunswick, Woodbridge, Piscataway, Sayreville, South Plainfield, and South Brunswick . The provider will serve as a resource in diverting youth from the formal juvenile.
