with fourteen-foot (14') moldboard, approved M.O.A. spec snow gate, front five way
hydraulic nose plow, hydraulic power up and power down snow wing (minimum 12
feet long) and rear ripper standard. Standard, 6 radial all season siped tires, 6 tire
chains, permanent mounted VHF F.M. two-way radio on M.O.A. frequency, "Stay
Back 50 Feet" signs, "Oversize" signs, rear back up light, amber strobe top and rear,
tow chain/cable/strap, reflectors/flares. Additionally, equipment shall meet all State of
Alaska, Division of Motor Vehicles requirements. 34 inch straight edge cutting edges
are standard. At the discretion of the Administrator, cutting edges, defined as 1/2"
straight edges and 5/8" serrated edges may be required and shall be paid at an
additional 5% of the bid rate.

tires standard, other standard attachments and accessories will include.
1. 2018 or newer heavy duty commercial grade 4-5 cubic yard gas conveyor chain
spreader sander body with in-cab controls.
2. 2018 or newer minimum 9 foot 2-inch BOSS 5 way "V" plow or approved
equivalent, no castors, wheels, or skis allowed.
3. 6 studded snow tires, 6 tire chains, permanent mounted VHF F.M. two-way radio
on M.O.A. frequency, "Stay Back 50 Feet" signs, rear back up light, amber strobe

4. 4 each 2016 Model Truck or newer with chassis-mounted sander with "Underbody Truck
Grader Blade" and Nose Plow. Minimum 410 Horsepower, 10 speed transmission
or 5 speed automatic transmission, 225-inch wheelbase, 18000 lbs. front axle, 46000
lbs. rear axle, 4:11 axle ratio, - summer tires standard - 10 studded siped snow tires
standard (to be re-studded annually). Other standard attachments and accessories will
include:
1. 2016 or newer heavy-duty 10-12-yard sander box/spreader, cab-mounted variable
aggregate application rate controls, variable belt and spinner. Aggregate pre-
wetting system, (Monroe LDS-333 electric pre-wetting system or approved
equivalent), baffled 75-gallon side-mounted tanks on each side with cross-over
connections.
2. 2016 or newer 11-foot front mounted reversible push plow with snow deflector.
Castors, wheels, skis or segmented blades shall not be allowed.
3. 2016 or newer "Underbody Truck Grader Blade", with 12-foot moldboard with
hydraulic circle reverse and hydraulic locking pins. CUTTING EDGE ANGLE
SHALL BE NO LESS THAN 55 - 65 DEGREES IN THE DOWN POSITIION
WHEN EQUIPPED WITH A NEW CUTTING EDGE (See Exhibit #6) Shall also
include belly blade flood lights each side, 5/8 inch straight cutting edges standard.
At the discretion of the Administrator, cutting edges, defined as 1/2" straight
edges and 5/8-inch serrated edges may be required and shall be paid at an
additional 5% of the bid rate.
4. Miscellaneous: 6 tire chains each (4 triple rail and 2 double rail chains),
permanent mounted VHF F.M. two-way radio on M.O.A. frequency, hands-free
cell phone, top mounted and rear mounted amber strobes, "Stay Back 50 Feet"
and oversize signs, rear back up flood light, tow chain/cable/strap, reflector/flares.
Additionally, equipment shall meet all State of Alaska, Division of Motor
Vehicles requirements.

for actual hours of use based on the engine hour meter during this period. All other
use outside of the Maintenance Facilities will be paid at the hourly rate with a
minimum of two (2) hours

Fork attachments, 2 1/2 cubic yard dirt bucket with teeth and straight cutting edge,
and a minimum 5 cubic yard snow bucket located at the Kerbow facility. All fork
and bucket attachments required with quick disconnect, minimum 4 tire chains,
permanent mounted VHF F.M. two-way radios on M.O.A. frequency, "Stay Back 50
Feet" signs, rear back up light, tow chain/cable/strap, reflectors/flares, and beacon
standard. Additionally, equipment shall meet all State of Alaska, Division of Motor
Vehicles requirements.

13. 1 each 2009 or newer Automated Steam Boiler (Tex Steam 4992-4 OHP or approved
equivalent) shall be mounted in a fully enclosed van truck and fully self-contained
with operator.
Minimum requirements include:
1. Boiler shall be capable of maintaining a minimum of 130 PSI steam pressure
while utilizing two (2) 34 (inside diameter) inch discharge lines simultaneously.
