Proposed Sole Source Award for BEAST Barcoded Evidence Software

The County of Ontario intends to recommend the issuance of a Sole Source award to Porter Lee Corporation for BEAST Barcoded Evidence Software Any purchase order resulting from this proposed sole source will be made in accordance with the laws governing the purchasing processes of the County of Ontario. Any responses received as a result of this Notice of Intent shall be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future. Responses will not be considered as proposals, bids, or quotes.

The Purchasing Department has received a request to make the following sole-source procurement:

Product and/or services to be purchased: BEAST Barcoded Evidence Software

Anticipated Cost: $13,199.46

Sole Source Justification: Porter Lee Corporation has designed and developed the Crime Fighter BEAST and DataBank Laboratory Information Management System and Evidence Management System and holds all rights to the software and supporting systems including hardware and consumables. They are also the sole source for licenses, support, maintenance, hardware and consumables for the system.
