Proposed 2023 CDBG Flooding, Street, & Drainage Improvements

Sealed Bids for the construction of the Proposed 2023 CDBG Flooding, Street, & Drainage Improvements will be received, by City of Zebulon, at the 7818 Highway 19 Street, Zebulon, GA 30295, until 1:00 PM, Monday, March 10, 2025, local time, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. No bid may be withdrawn after the closing time for receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60) days. The work to be done shall consist of furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary to construct the Proposed 2023 CDBG Flooding, Street, & Drainage Improvements as shown on the construction drawings. In general, construction consists of approximately 1,261 L.F. of base and pavement widening, 975 tons of asphalt resurfacing, 2,900 L.F. of various size storm piping, 4,362 L.F. of 24¿ concrete curb and gutter, catch basins, median inlets, storm manholes, erosion/sedimentation control and all associated measures for the complete project. Time allotted for completion of work is 180 consecutive calendar days to substantial completion. Work shall be complete and ready for contract close-out with 194 consecutive calendar days. All work shall be completed in accordance with the plans and specifications. The work will be located in two target areas and awarded in one (1) Contract. Copies of Bidding Documents for bidding purposes can be obtained from Watkins & Associates, L.L.C., 1606 Whiddon Mill Road, Tifton, Georgia 31793, Phone: (229) 388-8823, (Office of the Engineer) upon payment of $300.00 for each set (non-refundable). Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the City of Zebulon, located at 7818 Highway 19 Street, Zebulon, GA 30295 or at Watkins & Associates, LLC on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8 A.M. and 5 P.M. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Office of the Engineer.
