NOTICE OF SALE.  The Economic Development Commission of the City of Middletown has determined that real property located at 17 Miller Street, Middletown, CT is surplus property and has slated such property for sale under Ordinance 232-7.  The property shall be sold to the highest responsible bidder, as determined by the City of Middletown in its sole and absolute discretion.  The City may also reject any or all bids in its sole and absolute discretion.  Property will be sold as-is, with all defects, including with an occupant.  Bidders are responsible for performing all due diligence prior to submitting a bid and bids are to be based on the bidder’s own information and knowledge of the property, learned through their own efforts, and not on any representation or comments made by the City of Middletown.  THE PROPERTY BEING SOLD IS NOT GUARANTEED TO BE BUILDABLE UNDER CURRENT ZONING REGULATIONS.  ALL PROPERTY IS SUBJECT TO RESTRICTIONS, COVENANTS AND APPURTENANCES AS OF RECORD, WHICH MAY APPEAR.  THE CITY OF MIDDLETOWN MAKES NO REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, CONCERNING THE SUITABILITY, CONDITION, OR CHARACTER OF ANY PROPERTY OR OCCUPANT.

Sealed bids in an envelope bearing the address of the property must contain the following: (1) the name of the bidder, (2) bidder’s telephone number, (3) mailing address, (4) e-mail address, and (5) purchase price for the property.

Bids must be hand-delivered to the following address by Tuesday, February 4, 2025 by 11:00 AM.  Bids received after this set date/time will not be considered.

Bids will be opened and read aloud publicly at the City of Middletown, Council Chambers, 245 Dekoven Drive, Middletown, CT 06457.

Attendance at the next scheduled meeting of the Economic Development Commission for an evaluation of the bids is required for all bidders, on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at 7pm at City Hall, 245 deKoven Drive, Room 208, Middletown, CT 06457.
