Promoter Services for Tacoma Narrows Airport Air Shows: Rebid

Pierce County Planning and Public Works is seeking proposals from qualified entities interested in partnering with Pierce County to plan, prepare for, and host an airshow event for the South Puget Sound community. We anticipate the event to feature aerial demonstrations and static displays such as military aircraft and equipment, antique aircraft, general aviation aircraft, jet cars, or alternatives, as agreed to by both parties in writing. The event may also feature food, merchandise vendors, and live entertainment.

Tacoma Narrows Airport is located in unincorporated Pierce County within the Gig Harbor Peninsula. The airport is publicly owned and operated by the Planning and Public Works Department of Pierce County. It is situated on 568 acres and has one asphalt runway (17-35), and a parallel taxiway. The runway is 5,002 ft. in length and 100 ft. wide and capable of supporting all general aviation aircraft, from light sport to business jets. The airport has approximately 275 based aircraft and typically conducts 95,000 operations annually. Aviation activity occurs at the airport, ranging from corporate, flight training, recreational flying, military flights, medical evacuation flights, and other various aviation events.
