Project Title: Professional Services for ODEL Grant Training Services including Purchase of Laptops for the Training Participants
Description: This RFP is intended to provide digital literacy and on-the-job training courses to North Carolina’s Highway Construction Trade Academy graduates and small/disadvantaged businesses. As part of this on-the-job training course and digital literacy initiative, each trainee will receive an internet-enabled laptop. The State will not own or manage the laptops, and training will not take place on State infrastructure/premises. This program is funded by the North Carolina Department of Information Technology’s Office of Digital Equity and Literacy (ODEL) grant through the U.S. Treasury’s State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (SLFRF). The recipient of the ODEL grant is the North Carolina Department of Transportation’s Office of Civil Rights (OCR), specifically its On-the-Job Training (OJT) and Business Opportunity and Workforce Development (BOWD) units within the OCR. The State is seeking a vendor that will be responsible for all aspects of this training initiative.
