Overview
Summary

Prospective contractor shall provide to the Tucson Unified School District a comprehensive web-based professional development management system designed for use in K-12 school districts that shall store, manage, track, and report the professional development processes of instructional employees, administrators, and classified personnel. The system will, at minimum, support over 90 sites/departments concurrently, with an approximate total of 8,000 staff. The ability to access the system through a secure internet connection with SSO is required.

Prospective contractor is asked to respond to each requirement for each section with one of three possible answers: “meets,” meaning that their product meets this requirement; “approaches,” meaning that their product comes close to meeting this requirement; and “does not meet,” meaning that their product does not meet this requirement. Prospective contractor is invited to provide clarifications on each answer in their response, if necessary. Additionally, the prospective contractor is also invited to provide further details about anything else beneficial the contractor wants Tucson Unified School District to know.

Background

The current PD Management System used by the Tucson Unified School District is a complex tool that accomplishes plenty of tasks; however, ultimately falls short in a few key areas, including:

  • A mobile-responsive user experience that accommodates users from all skill levels & maintains an organized professional learning calendar
  • An intuitive course catalog that supports conference-style professional learning days
  • Seamless asynchronous learning integration that accommodates all self-paced trainings for both technical and conceptual topics
  • An administrative dashboard that allows facilitators easy access to course rosters and real-time analytics

Tucson Unified School District desires an enhanced user experience on both ends of the PD Management System (participant and facilitator) that will aid our goal of promoting a unified culture of relevant professional growth where everyone has the opportunity to be a leader, designer, contributor, and learner.
