Professional Architectural Services for Golf Center Clubhouse and As-Needed Services

The City of Sierra Vista desires to contract with a professional architect(s) to provide architectural design services for various City construction projects, to include the preparation of bid documents, space studies, design concept reports, and other miscellaneous architectural consulting services. Since the City is not staffed nor equipped to perform the required architectural design services programmed for the next few years, the City intends to establish a nonexclusive “services-on-demand” retainer-type professional services contract(s), to reduce City administrative time and save funds otherwise lost to delays. The City expects to award a two-year initial contract with three (3) one-year options for as-needed professional architectural services for one consultant to focus on the Golf Center Clubhouse scope to the highest ranked proposer, and may award up to two more contracts on an as-needed, if-needed basis, based on the results of the RFSOQ and the needs of the City.

Typical professional architectural services may include:

• Design of facility remodels, upgrades and improvements
• Construction administration services
• Design of small building/shed enclosures
• Preparation of miscellaneous architectural cost/benefit analysis, concept design reports, cost estimates, building material evaluations, etc.

The City of Sierra Vista requests Statements Of Qualifications from Arizona licensed Professional Architects, interested in providing architectural services for the City. Responses will be used to prepare a short-list of architects who will then be invited to enter negotiations/respond to a formal Request for Proposal, for specific projects.

Architects submitting Statements of Qualifications will be required to provide qualifications of potential sub-consultants/professionals (i.e., electrical, civil, structural, mechanical, engineers, etc.) who may be considered as members of a “Project Team” on a major capital improvement building project(s).

The architect(s) selected may be retained for up to five years with an initial two-year term with up to three (3) one-year extensions at the discretion of the City). Extensions will be based on performance, timeliness of service of any type specified herein, and be contingent upon budget appropriations.
