Procurement and Installation of Emergency Backup Generator at New Savannah Bluff Lock and Dam

This synopsis is for the Procurement and Installation of an Emergency Backup Generator at the New Savannah Bluff Lock and Dam. This acquisition is being offered as a 100% Small Business set-aside solicitation and will result in a single Firm Fixed Price contract award.

Project Location: The project is located at the New Savannah Bluff Lock and Dam in Richmond County, near 1853 Lock and Dam Road in Augusta, Georgia on the land-side pavilion between the Lock Operations Building and the public parking area.

Project Description: The contractor shall supply and install a new minimum 48 kW propane-fueled generator set, propane fuel tank, and automatic transfer switch (ATS). The maximum generator size is 60 kW. The new generator, fuel tank, and ATS shall be located on a new elevated equipment steel platform located adjacent to the existing service transformer. The elevated platform shall be located between the esplanade and adjacent parking spaces just to the west of the existing transformer in the grass area. See Appendix A for site layout. The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, etc. for the complete installation of the project. The Contractor shall abandon the existing 48 kW diesel generator, diesel fuel tank, and ATS in place within the Lock Operations Building.

Evaluation Criteria: The contract will be solicited and procured using Sealed Bidding Procedures under FAR Part 14.

NOTE: This solicitation will be issued in electronic format and is anticipated to be available on or about 2 February 2026.

Any prospective Offeror must register in System for Award Management (SAM) at https://www.sam.gov After completing SAM registration, interested Contractors and their subcontractors must then follow the instructions listed in the solicitation documents to obtain access to the plans and specifications for this solicitation. Contractors that have an existing account should be able to use their existing logins to search for the solicitation number once it is released at https://www.sam.gov. It is the Offeror’s responsibility to check the internet address provided in the solicitation as necessary for any amendments that may be posted to this solicitation. Paper copies of this solicitation will not be available. Other methods of requesting a package will not be honored.
