This is not a solicitation for proposals, and there is no solicitation available at this time. The sole purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is to conduct Market Research.
As America’s combat logistics support agency, the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) provides the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, other federal agencies, and partner nation armed forces with a full spectrum of logistics, acquisition and technical services. DLA sources and provides nearly all the consumable items America’s military forces need to operate – from food, fuel and energy to uniforms, medical supplies and construction material. DLA Troop Support Medical Supply Chain supports warfighters and their dependents around the world, from well babies to wounded warriors. To ensure their basic and critical medical and pharmaceutical needs are met, DLA’s support includes surgical items, preventive vaccines, pharmaceuticals, field hospital equipment and even medical supplies for animals.
The purpose of this Request for Information is to gain further knowledge of potential NEW small business Manufactures/distributors who can provide products under NAICS 325411, Medicinal and Botanical Manufacturing. This includes, but is not limited to, the following federal supply classes (FSC):

REQUESTED INFORMATION
- Small Business distributors and/or manufacturers shall provide a capability statement. The capability statement shall not exceed three pages and shall include the following information: Company Name, Business Size, Cage Code, Address, Point of Contact, Email Address, and Phone Number. If a response is from a distributor, they shall provide the same information for the manufacturing source in addition to their own. Note, responses from large businesses (distributors and/or manufacturers) will not be considered in this Request for Information.
- What is your core business? Are you considered to be a manufacturer or a distributor of medical products?
- Business type (large business, small business, small disadvantaged business, 8(a)-certified small disadvantaged business, HUBZone small business, woman-owned small business, very small business, veteran-owned small business, service-disabled veteran-owned small business) based upon applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) codes.
- Primary and additional NAICS associated with your business’s core competencies.
- Has your company had previous experience manufacturing/producing and packaging similar items to those referenced above?
- If yes, indicate which type of experience and whether government and/or commercial. Include the production capacity of the manufacturing source and the country of origin. (All items must be manufactured by Buy American Act (BAA) qualified countries. All products offered must be Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved.)
- If no, describe your capabilities for performing such tasks.
- Does your company have experience with storage and distribution of these types of items? Deliveries could include CONUS/OCONUS.

If yes, indicate which type of experience and whether government and/or commercial.
- Describe any storage/distribution center from which you currently hold and distribute medical products from.
- How many items do you currently hold in inventory?
- Describe your procedures for managing/recording the product's shelf-life. The Overseas (OCONUS customers require a minimum of 12 month shelf life or product maximum shelf life if under 12 months. Is your company capable of insuring customer receives the 12 month shelf life dating?
- If no, describe your capabilities for performing such tasks.
- Does your company maintain a published commercial price catalog for your medical prices?
- Include any other information DLA should know about your business, its capabilities, or past performance. Attach capabilities statement, if applicable.
