Summary

The New Jersey Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NJPDES) permit requires municipalities to verify that privately owned stormwater facilities constructed after February 7, 1984 be inspected and maintained pursuant to the approved maintenance plans. The Township is working to establish such a verification program and is looking for technical assistance in identifying all stormwater structures subject to this requirement and establishing a process to verify maintenance requirements in conformance with the NJPDES permit.
