NOTICE TO RECEIVE BIDS

Sealed bids will be received up until the hour of 10:00 A.M. on December 15, 2025, in the office of the

Chancery Clerk, P.O. Box 39, Raleigh, MS 39153; phone number 601-782-9811; Fax number 601-782-4690,

for the sale of commodities to Smith County, Mississippi for the calendar year beginning

January 1, 2026 and ending December 31, 2026, or until another bid is accepted. These commodities are

for the use and benefit of the 5 Road Districts and other general county usage. Information or details

concerning any of these commodities can be obtained from this office by the above means.

A. PRINTING (LEGALS, DELINQUENT TAX SALE, ETC. IN LOCAL NEWSPAPERS)

B. SPRAYING OF RIGHT OF WAYS AND CHEMICALS TO PURCHASE

C. RENTAL OF EQUIPMENT

1. TRACKHOE (Equipped with 1 1/2 cubic yard bucket)

2. TRACHHOE (Equipped with 1 cubic yard bucket)

3. SCRAPER (Minimum 11 cubic yard bucket)

4. DOZER (MINIMUM 31,000 pounds)

5. PACKER (Vibratory type/Sheepfoot or Smooth Drum)

6. STEEL WHEEL ROLLER

7. ASPHALT PAVER

8. DUMP TRUCKS (With 18 and 22 yd. bodies w/ Driver)

(Please specify whether rate is by the ton mile or by the hour.)

Equipment bids should be submitted on an hourly, daily, weekly and monthly basis for each piece of

equipment with owner supplying all insurance. The County will supply the operator.

Equipment bids may also be submitted on a weekly or monthly term with the Smith County Board of

Supervisors supplying operator and all insurance and supplies.

The Board of Supervisors reserves the right to reject any and all bids.

Bids accepted will be enforced.

This advertisement authorized by Order of the Board of Supervisors dated November 3, 2025.
