at which time the bids will be publicly open and read in the Office of Procurement. The City of Springfield invites all interested, qualified persons or firms capable of providing the requested services, to submit bids to enter into an agreement to provide Preschool Play Facilities at High School of Science and Technology, 1250 State Street, Springfield MA, 01109. This bid falls under M.G.L. Ch. 30§39M and other procurement statutes.

Project includes installation of temporary sediment & erosion controls, earthwork, drainage, landscaping, and installation of owner-furnished elements, including playground equipment and site furnishings. Estimated value of the contract is approximately $125,000.00. Bid documents can be requested through the City’s website; www.springfieldcityhall.com (during normal business hours) beginning on April 23, 2025.

It is strongly encouraged to attend a site visit on April 30, 2025 at 10:00 AM on site. All questions regarding this bid or its specifications must be made in writing and received by the Office of Procurement no later than May 1, 2025 by 4:30 P.M. (nwalker@springfieldcityhall.com) in order to be considered. The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women (MWBE) participation in all contracts. Massachusetts Department of Labor Standards Prevailing Wage rates apply. The Chief Procurement Officer/Designee reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
