Title: Prequalification of Contractors for Stockyard Road CIPP Project
Addenda: 0
Release Date: 7/24/2025
Due Date: 8/21/2025
This project will prequalify construction contractors for the Stockyard Road CIPP project.
Work for the City of Pueblo – Stockyard Road CIPP project includes the rehabilitation of the City’s influent trunk sewer from Confluence Park to the James R. Dilorio Water Reclamation Facility (JRDWRF):
1. Ultraviolet (UV) cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) rehabilitation of approximately 3,330 linear feet of 60-inch RCP and 299 linear feet of 66-inch RCP trunk sewer;
2. Rehabilitation, removal and replacement, of sanitary sewer manholes on the trunk sewer;
3. Rehabilitation of two (2) concrete vaults and replacement of slide gates and appurtenances with approved epoxy coating and approved polymer concrete inserts;
4. Construction of a permanent cast-in-place concrete Bypass Structure at the start of the 60-inch trunk sewer in Confluence Park;
5. Bypass pumping of trunk sewer flows, collection sewers and service laterals, and restoration of park areas, improved streets and the JRDWRF plant site.
The rehabilitation, replacement and construction of all wastewater collection system facilities shall include but not limited to, furnishing and installing all necessary piping, appurtenances, materials, labor and services to provide a complete, fully functioning system. All subsurface utility engineering, utility locates and protection, excavating, excavation support, dewatering, bypass pumping, backfilling, surface restoration to original or specified condition, sampling and testing, required agency coordination and permitting, shall be provided by the Contractor.
The City of Pueblo Wastewater Department has identified a critical component of its wastewater collection system requires rehabilitation due to its age and deterioration. Rehabilitation shall be accomplished via ultraviolet (UV) cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) lining. Bypass pumping shall be required to accomplish the rehabilitation for wastewater flows up to 15 million gallons a day. To accomplish bypass of sewer flows, a cast-in-place concrete bypass structure shall be installed at the project beginning location in Confluence Park, which is in the floodway and 100-year floodplain. This proposed structure is close proximity to an existing 102-inch 3-course brick storm sewer believed to be approximately 100 years old.
