PREPaRE Workshop 1 registration codes - National Association of School Psychologists (NASP)

The Department of Education (MDE) intends to purchase registration codes for PREPaRE Workshop 1 from National Association of School Psychologists (NASP).

It is necessary to purchase registration codes and electronic materials for participants in order to ensure that the PREPaRE model for crisis preparedness and response is used statewide. Providing training on school crisis prevention, intervention and response supports a safe and healthy learning environment. MDE has statutory responsibilities related to improving educational outcomes, supporting safe and supportive learning environments, strengthening educator effectiveness and retention, and advancing student wellbeing across Minnesota schools.

The PREPaRE model is well researched, evidence-based, and used nationally to support crisis prevention, intervention and response in school settings. There are no other vendors that provide a training of this model. National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) owns and is the sole contractor available to offer this curriculum. The State believes these services are not available through third-party entities, deeming this a sole source purchase.
