Preparation, Repairs and Waterproofing of Exterior Walls at City Hall

The City of Lakeland Public Works – Facilities Maintenance Division is requesting proposals for services of qualified and experienced State Certified Licensed General Contractor (CGC) or Building Contractor (CBC) registered in the State of Florida, to perform all work outlined in the attached project specifications for preparation, repairs and waterproofing of the exterior walls at City Hall. Water intrusion was noted at interior offices along with paint blisters at locations along the exterior walls.

The subject building is a 3-story office building, reportedly constructed in the 1920s, with concrete beams, columns and slabs. The exterior finish of the building primarily consists of painted stucco with areas of uncoated aggregate panels and stone along the south, east, and west sides. A painted wood soffit exists at the top of the exterior walls. A decorative penthouse is present in the central portion of the building. Sheet metal, coping, and flashings are primarily copper. The building façade was recoated in 2015.
