Overview

Summary

This Request for Pre-Qualification of Bidders is intended to solicit information in the form of a qualification questionnaire and qualification statements. All Bidders that intend to submit a bid for the Project must fully complete the Pre-Qualification Questionnaire, provide all materials requested herein, and be approved by VTA in order to be included on the final qualified Bidders list. No bid will be accepted from a Bidder that has failed to comply with these requirements. If two or more firms submit a SOQ as part of a Joint Venture, or expect to submit a SOQ as part of a Joint Venture, each entity within the Joint Venture must be separately pre-qualified.

Background

The Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) will be soliciting bids for “Fuel Dispenser and UDC Replacement” (Project).

Notice is hereby given that VTA is now soliciting Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from bidders (Bidders) with construction expertise to furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment, services, supervision, and incidentals necessary to decommissioning and removal of existing diesel and gasoline dispensers, including underground dispenser containment (UDC), within three (3) VTA bus maintenance facilities/yards (Project sites), located at the addresses listed below. In the same locations, the Project includes installation of new UDC, leak detection system, new diesel and gasoline dispensers, tie-in to existing fuel lines, tie-in to existing power source, installation of new conduits and network cables, leak test of fuel lines after installation, installation of fluid management equipment and devices, and restoration of the concrete island. As part of the installation of the fluid management equipment, work includes testing of the system to ensure full operational capability between the remote island head and the data logger devices installed within each VTA bus and training of VTA personnel and staff.

Chaboya Yard located at 2240 S. 7th Street, San Jose, CA 95112 (Option 2 Work)
