SECO Energy is seeking qualified contractors to bid on substation construction projects. See attached bidder qualification specifications.
Introduction: Sumter Electric Cooperative, also known as SECO Energy, is a not-for-profit, member-owned electric utility. With over 250K active accounts (90/10 residential/commercial split), SECO Energy is the third largest electric cooperative in Florida and the seventh largest in the entire United States. The service territory area is approximately 2,000 square miles. SECO maintains a sophisticated electrical network with a maximum operating voltage of 25 KV. This system includes 48 substations comprised of over 198 feeders. SECO Energy is a very customer-focused utility which has high expectations for all its various contracted services.
