San Mateo County's Public Safety Communications department provides emergency communications and 911 dispatch services for Fire, Emergency Medical Services and Law Enforcement agencies within San Mateo County.

The department is seeking qualified, experienced, individuals or organizations to perform pre-employment background investigations to determine suitability of Public Safety Dispatcher candidates consistent with California Penal Code 13510(c) and California Peace Officers Standards and Training (POST) regulations.
