Pre-Advertisement Notice for Demolition and Asbestos Abatement Services

The City of Atlanta, on behalf of Atlanta Police Department, Code enforcement section, will shortly undergo a Multi-Step Competitive Sealed Bid process comprised of a prequalification phase as the initial step, followed by an Invitation for Bid (IFB) towards the procurement of City-Wide Demolition and Asbestos Abatement Services. Interested vendors during the prequalification phase will be evaluated to confirm Georgia asbestos abatement certification, confirm Level 1A certification, validate regulatory compliance history, verify equipment ownership and staffing capacity, confirm ability to self-perform demolition, review past performance and safety record. The City's expectation is that the selected vendors will provide turnkey demolition and asbestos abatement services and demonstrate the ability to manage high-volume, safety-critical work while maintaining required environmental controls, documentation, and coordination with City departments.
