The City of Atlanta, on behalf of The Department of Parks & Recreation (DPR), will shortly undergo a Multi-Step Sealed Bid process comprised of a prequalification phase as the initial step, followed by an Invitation for Bid (IFB), towards the procurement of qualified contractors to to perform a full greens renovation at Chastain Park Golf Course, including excavation, drainage installation, grading, and resodding to restore playability and ensure proper surface drainage. The procurement will result in the successful rehabilitation of all greens to meet industry standards for performance, durability, and drainage, ensuring long-term playability and reduced maintenance issues. Interested vendors must demonstrate a minimum of three (3) completed golf course greens renovation projects of similar size, scope, and complexity within the past five (5) years, including excavation, grading, drainage installation, and turf establishment. Vendors must be properly licensed, bonded, and insured to perform construction services in the State of Georgia. Vendors shall demonstrate experience installing subsurface drainage systems, including perforated piping and outfall connections, and must have the capability to perform precision grading to achieve proper surface drainage and playability standards. Vendors must also demonstrate experience with installation and establishment of golf course turfgrass systems, including hybrid bermudagrass varieties (e.g., TifEagle or equivalent). Vendors must have the personnel, equipment, and operational capacity to complete largescale greens reconstruction projects within specified timelines and must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including OSHA safety standards. Greens Renovation for Chastain Park Golf Course

Atlanta City Golf is seeking a contractor to complete a greens renovation at Chastain Park Golf Course. The contractor must have completed greens renovations at a minimum of three golf courses. The contractor must also be bonded and insured. The bid must include all expenses for the completion of the project, including but not limited to mobilization costs. The proposal should also include a timeline for the completion of the project.
Deliverables:
Excavate the existing greens (110,000 square feet) to a depth of 6 inches
Excavate the greens to 6 inches and dispose of waste on-site.
Grade core to improve surface for playability and positive surface drainage
Install 4-inch perforated drains
Install 4-inch perforated drainpipes on 15-foot centers.
Install and compact 6 inches of 90/10 greens mix
Install and compact 6-inches of 90/10 greens mix and shape it to optimize the pin placements and tie into the surrounding terrain.
Install 4-inch drain outfall
The outfall drain lines will be an average of 30 feet long. Some may be longer and some may be shorter.
Finish float and sod greens with TifEagle bermudagrass
Strip and resod collars to accommodate tie-ins with Tahoma 31 bermudagrass
Strip and resod 60-inch collars with Tahoma 31 bermudagrass to accommodate tie-ins.
