The North Carolina Department of Public Safety Emergency Management Division and the Department

of Transportation is requesting bids for replacing private bridges on Big Horse Creek (Site 006-01-06088)

in Avery County and Spice Branch (Site 095-01-3E0CF) in Watauga County to be let at 2:00 PM on

Wednesday, February 4, 2026.

The availability date for this project is March 6, 2026.

The completion date for this project is July 1, 2026.

Because of the unusual nature of the work involved and in order for all prospective bidders to have

extensive knowledge of the project, an open, virtual Pre-Bid Conference will be held for all

interested parties on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at 9:00 am.
