Project Description	Subject to conditions prescribed by the University of California, Los Angeles, sealed bids for a lump sum contract from prequalified bidders are invited for the following work: This project will upgrade compact storage capacity in the Storage and Book Processing Room 30 (Powell 30), located in the basement of the Powell Library, by utilizing existing shelves and newly installed compact shelving and installing University-furnished mechanical systems with humidity control. Demolition includes the removal of shelves and lighting fixtures for reinstallation, sink and plumbing fixtures, exterior curbs and railings, and clearing the landscape for a new mechanical pad. Installations include the reinstallation of preserved shelves and lighting fixtures, new compact shelving, a new exterior mechanical pad with retaining wall and brick cap, concrete steps, a louvered door, an Air Handling Unit (AHU) mechanical system, landscape hedges, alterations to fire alarm systems, and an interior door with University card readers.
