Description:

Gaston County, NC is requesting sealed bids for Poston Park Emergency Spillway Wingwall Repair. The project consists of the repair of a section of wingwalls along the downstream portion of the emergency spillway structure. The work includes earthwork on the dam embankment, temporary removal of the existing wingwalls panels, recompacting the foundation material, resetting the existing panels, coring new weepholes in three panels, installing a toe drain, backfilling the excavated area, and seeding and soil stabilization. The project will be financed with local funds.

Qualifications:

Bidders must have a license to work as a contractor in the State of North Carolina, as set forth under Article 1 Chapter 87 of the North Carolina General Statutes. Subject to the provisions of the State of North Carolina Contractor's Licensing-Law, it will be necessary for the contractor to place their contractor's license number on the envelope containing their bid.
