The Air Force intends to solicit the following supply:
The 76 CMXG/MXDE is requesting utilization of funds for the purchase of Portable Shearography System.
The requested equipment item descriptions/specifications are outlined below.
Portable Vacuum/Thermal mode Shearography NDT System:
• Must have both Vacuum and Thermal inspection modes (Note: The stressing mechanism (i.e. vacuum and thermal stress), laser, and camera must be integral to the inspection head and attach directly to the structure undergoing test.)
• Must utilize a green laser for laser speckle
• Vacuum Generator & System Controller
• Designed specifically to inspect composite and metallic bonded structures
• Must attach to part undergoing inspection (part minimum radius of curvature 2.5 feet)
• Mobile type unit to inspect Aircraft flight control surfaces, panels, and doors.
• Image Processing Computer
• Shearography Image Processing Software Suite with defect dimension and area measurement tools; user macro programming; and programmable test parameters
• One Operation Manual
• Transit Cases for equipment
Operator Training On-site
A Firm Fixed Price type contract is contemplated.
Estimated Period of Performance: 180 days ARO
This is a small business set-aside
System for Award Management (SAM) is required to receive any award. Contractors can register electronically at https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/. The NAICS code for this requirement is 334519 with a size standard of 600 EMP.
