Background

The Department of Fire-Rescue (“Fire-Rescue”) utilizes portable, medical grade, oxygen cylinders to provide immediate medical oxygen support for medical and trauma patients at the site of an emergency. These portable cylinders are carried on all Engines, Ladders, Rescues and Medic units and are utilized on a daily basis.
