26-001 Port of Pensacola Paving and Rail Rehabilitation Project

SCOPE OF WORK

The Scope of Work for the Port of Pensacola Paving & Rail Rehabilitation Project, which is federally funded through the Community Development Block Grant – Disaster Recovery Funds (CDBG-DR) and the Florida Department of Transportation Florida Seaport Transportation and Economic Development Funds (FSTED), consists of the following tasks:

• The removal, disposal and replacement of the existing on-Port railroad track systems as shown on the drawings and specified.
• The removal and disposal or abandonment and grout fill of the existing underground potable water system for the entire Port property as shown on the drawings and specified.
• Furnish and install new potable and firewater system as shown on the drawings and specified.
• The removal and disposal of the existing backflow preventer located on the east side of Barracks Street approximately 300 feet south of Main Street.
• Furnish and install new backflow preventer on the east side of Barracks Street, inside the port security fence, east of the port security gate.
• The removal and disposal of portions of the existing stormwater collection system and the furnishing and installation of new stormwater collections systems as shown on the drawings and specified.
• The removal, disposal and replacement of the existing ships water concrete bunkers at Berths 2, 3 & 5 as shown on the drawings and specified.
• Repairs to existing dock structure expansion joints as shown on the drawings and specified.
• The removal and disposal of existing asphalt pavement and base material as shown on the drawings and specified.
• Grading and compaction of existing subgrade and furnish and install new asphalt and concrete pavement and base material as shown on the drawings and specified.
• Remove and dispose of existing cables and furnish and install new cathodic protection cables from the existing Berth 2 landside rectifier inside Warehouse 5 to the existing manhole near the landside of the Berth 2 bulkhead.  Splice new cables to existing cables inside the manholes and shown on the drawings and specified.
• Miscellaneous demolition and disposal as shown on the drawings and specified.
• All other work as shown on the drawings and specified.
