Population Health Improvement Fund Produce Prescriptions in ENOUGH Communities

A produce prescription is a medical treatment for a diet-related condition, such as high blood pressure. A healthcare provider determines that produce (fruits and vegetables) is an appropriate treatment and prescribes produce to a patient. The patient then receives free produce, which improves the patient’s health by increasing fruit and vegetable consumption. The purpose of this RFA is to fund high-quality, culturally appropriate, community-tailored produce prescriptions to improve the health of Marylanders living in high-poverty areas.
