Pond 14 Maintenance

The Victorville Water District (hereinafter referred to as “District”), a subsidiary district of the City of Victorville (hereinafter referred to as “City”), is requesting bids for the annual maintenance of Percolation Pond 14.

The purpose of the annual maintenance of Percolation Pond 14 (Pond 14) is to restore and maximize percolation rates by removing accumulated sediment, vegetation, and compacted material from the pond basin and mechanically conditioning the surface. This maintenance is part of the District’s annual pond rotation program. As part of the maintenance, the contractor is expected to remove 1-2 feet of dirt from the bottom of the pond and place spoils on the side of the pond for future removal. After removal of the specified quantity of bottom material, the contractor is to rip the entire pond basin surface from bank to bank at a depth of 6–8 inches to further enhance percolation rates.
