Polymer-Modified Cold-Mix Paving of Various Streets in the City of Lexington

The City of Lexington is requesting proposals from qualified firms to provide Polymer-Modified Cold-Mix Paving on various Streets in the City of Lexington, NC.  The City of Lexington will receive proposals on or before 5:00 p.m. EST, Tuesday, May 20, 2025 via email to Public Services Director, Mike Horney jmhorney@lexingtonnc.gov

All roads must be treated with a dual pass process with a flexible emulsion on the first pass and fine granite aggregate in the cold-mix emulsion in the second pass.  Surface course must meet skid resistance as specified by the North Carolina Department of Transportation.

Contact Public Services Director Mike Horney at jmhorney@lexingtonnc.gov for a copy of the bid documents and for all pre-bid questions or to schedule a site visit.  The last day for questions is Friday, May 16th.  The selected bidder will also be required to attend a pre-construction meeting with City staff.

Bidders will be required to comply with all applicable statutes and regulations and those attached to and made a part of the proposal.

The City of Lexington encourages the participation of minority and historically underutilized business enterprises.

Bids for this project shall be guaranteed by all bidders for a period of 90 calendar days following the bid opening.

The City of Lexington, North Carolina reserves the right to reject any and/or all proposals.
