Summary

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Work under this contract entails the replacement of wood pole assets that are at the end of serviceable life. These poles are rated as P1 and P2 meaning they have a potential of imminent failure. Associated primary conductors and pole equipment such as transformers, switches, services and other appurtenances will be transferred or replaced as part of the replacement work. Issued Work Packages may include but are not limited to the following work tasks:

• Site preparation:

o Installation and maintenance of temporary erosion and sedimentation controls, temporary

services and safety measures including but not limited to barricades, fencing, and plating

of excavations.

o Installation of all tree and landscaping protection measures.

• Site demolition, removal, and legal disposal:

o Vegetation and waste soil

• Demolition of existing wood pole assets and associated equipment:

o Wood poles

o Pole foundations

o Down-guys and anchors

o Wood or fiberglass cross-arms

o Overhead transformers, cut-outs, switches, and other protective devices

o Electrical conduits for underground terminations and service drops, wiring, and conductors

o Secondary services

o Steel trusses or other bracing equipment

o Electrical vaults

o Handholes

• Installation of Owner furnished new wood pole assets and associated equipment:

o Wood poles

o Fiberglass poles

o Pole foundations

o Down-guys and anchors

o Wood or fiberglass cross-arms

o Overhead transformers, switches, and other protective devices

o Electrical conduits for underground terminations and service drops, wiring, conductors,

and neutrals

o Secondary services

o Electrical vaults

o Handholes

• Transfers of existing overhead equipment:

o Primary conductors

o Neutrals

o Secondary services

o Overhead transformers, cut-outs, switches, and other protective devices

o Street light fixtures including bracket arms

o AMR, AMI, and radio equipment

• Transfers of third party communications facilities

• Performing site restoration associated with wood pole installation:

o Pavement and sidewalk restoration

o Landscaping as needed

o Removal of debris

This description of work tasks is a summary and may not include all incidental work elements required to complete each Work Package.

CONTRACT VALUE: The Contract amount is Not to Exceed $4,000,000.

PROJECT LOCATION: Project locations will vary throughout the City Light Service Territory located as specified in each Work Package issued after the Contract is executed.
