Pole Barn for the Governor's School for Agriculture at John De La Howe

REQUEST FOR BIDS - POLE BARN CONSTRUCTION

The South Carolina Governor's School for Agriculture at John de la Howe is seeking qualified contractors to
submit bids for the construction of a 40' x 84' pole barn to support seasonal farm equipment storage.

Project Specifications:

* Dimensions: 40 ft (W) x 84 ft (L) x 14 ft (H)

+The site has an estimated 2-foot slope; all eave heights must be 14 ft. Some posts will require
additional length, and interior bays will provide increased clearance in those areas. Site visits are
available.

+ Construction: Pole barn style with 29-gauge metal

+ Roof: Gabled, Galvalume metal (vertical panels)

+ Pitch: 4:12 standard pitch

+ Trusses: Standard truss system (wood or metal)

+ Exterior:

+ Gable ends: Charcoal metal

+ Trim: White

* Overhang: 1-foot overhang on sides and ends

Bid Requirements:

+ Must include delivery and full construction
+ Provide a minimum 1-year labor warranty

Project Timeline:

+ Project must be completed and invoiced by June 12, 2026

Bid Deadline: April 30, 2026, by 1:00 PM
