Description

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) intends to award a sole source Firm Fixed Price purchase order to GAIA Communications LLC. This requirement will provide Point and Translate in support of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Individual Terrorism Awareness Course (INTAC) Program, which is facilitated on behalf of the Headquarters, Department of the Army G3/5/7 Antiterrorism Branch. This program prepares Soldiers, DoD Civilians, Contractors and Dependents for OCONUS Travel in support of our Nation’s Foreign Policy. The INTAC program training curriculum consists of a combination of lectures and hands-on training modules facilitated by subject matter experts. The courses’ attendees are issued a combination of hand-outs on a variety of topics to utilize on their respective deployments and/or OCONUS Temporary Duty Travels. These handouts include Point and Translate guides, which are durable and utilize visuals and minimal text to represent data, information, and knowledge in a simple easy-to-use format on a variety of topics. No competition is being sought.

This is a special notice prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.2 Synopses of Proposed Contract Action. A solicitation will not be posted. However, any firm that believes it can meet this requirement may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within fifteen (15) days of publication of this announcement. Supporting evidence must be submitted in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement.

Responses received will be evaluated. However, a determination by the Government to compete the proposed procurement based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will proceed with awarding a Firm Fixed contract to GAIA Communications LLC.
