PLUNKETTS CREEK FISH HABITAT ENHANCEMENT PROJECT

Project Description: Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission evaluated the site at the site meeting in November 2023 that was set up by Representative Joe Hamm’s Office. The PA Fish and Boat Commission’s (PAFBC) Habitat Division designed a Fish Habitat Enhancement project on Plunketts Creek. The structures will be utilized to stabilize the severely eroded stream bank while providing habitat. Once completed, this project will stabilize approximately 700 feet of eroded streambank. Attached is the PAFBC Design Plan. This project is downstream from the Proctor Game Farm where the Northcentral PA Conservancy, PA Game Commission, and PAFBC have done multiple fish habitat projects just north of this project site including a large earthen berm removal to allow for floodplain access.
